Abstract

This paper explores the role of decision support systems (DSS) in enhancing public policy analysis. Decision support systems are tools designed to augment the decision-making process by providing comprehensive analysis, data visualization, and simulation capabilities. In the context of public policy, these systems offer substantial benefits, including improved data accuracy, enhanced decision-making speed, and the ability to evaluate various policy scenarios. The study examines the current state of DSS applications in public policy, identifies key challenges, and proposes strategies for their effective integration. It discusses the importance of incorporating advanced analytical techniques, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, to address complex policy problems. Furthermore, the paper highlights the need for user-friendly interfaces and robust data security measures to ensure the reliability and trustworthiness of DSS in the public sector. The findings demonstrate that utilizing DSS can lead to more informed, efficient, and transparent public policy decision-making.
